Members do sign a waiver of release when they sign up. It is always important to know the training background on the person instructing the exercise.

In regards to cancellations or freezes it is so vital to get everything in writing. Then there is no here-say regarding a verbal conversation. Every agreement is different so make sure to look over yours with regards to freezing/cancellations and medical situations. Also if you are not able to handle this properly on a location basis then call Anytime Fitness Corporate to speak with them directly.

They may be able to reach out to the owners directly, or at least give a suggestion on how to resolve the situation.

There is a number listed on the main website page. Usually they will refer you back to the local location for cancellations and such because each location has its own agreement plus each state has its individual laws regarding gym membership cancellation.

It would be nearly impossible for corporate to know the laws and specifics for each of the 2600 locations. If the problem is with the facilities or owners and you've already tried talking to them then that is where corporate could come in to help.

If anything they will contact the location and advise them on how to help solve the situation as well. Persistence is key in these situations since the location and corporate especially handle multiple scenarios on a daily basis.


How do you contact Anytime Fitness Corporate directly? I have tried and I have been told over and over again that I need to contact the independent owners of the gym. Well the owners are the problem!
