Information found from another complaint site with respect to cancellation problems & Anytime Fitness/ABC Finance which others might find helpful.

ABC Finance specifically requests notes on MD's letterhead stating member is permanently disabled. This is in violation of HIPAA and is none of their business.

If you paid with a credit or debit card and have had to cancel the card for whatever reason, ABC Finance will illegally attempt to collect by obtaining another card number or by guessing the new expiration date if the card number was not changed.

No staff at the Glendale Heights IL location during business hours on their answering machine. Impossible to cancel contract.

I'm moving out of state and can't use membership for at least 8 months due to injuries suffered in a car accident.

Will contact them to let them know about my situation. Will also let card issuer know any charge their finance company makes is fraudulent due to inability to cancel.

Product or Service Mentioned: Anytime Fitness Membership.

Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.

Anytime fitness Pros: Price.

Anytime fitness Cons: Refusal to accommodate those who wish to remain non-members, No resolution to problen, Staff unreachable during hours they are supposed to be there, Cannot leave a message because answering machine is full, Illegal per hipaa to ask for medical records.

Still unresolved and they charged me again. Derek Chemers apparently does not go to the club and never signed for the certified letter I sent. Sending a letter to Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan this time.
