Anytime fitness - Making canceling your membership too difficult when you have moved and don't utilize working out
I moved 2 hours away from the anytime fitness that I had membership with and have not worked out in about 15 months or more..when I got an email that they were going to charge me $5 more because I use a credit card to pay for my membership, I emailed them saying that I have moved and need to cancel anyhow because the closest anytime is about 40 min. drive and I haven't really used my membership anyhow...they email me saying I have to go back to my original fitness club (which may I remind you is a 2 hour drive one way to go there) and cancel...It shouldn't be that difficult to cancel membership at all...all they are doing when they do this is making it where a long time customer of theirs will never return back to them ever again because they made this a very negative experience and cause more grief then is necessary!!
