Anytime Fitness - Bait and switch
Super disappointed with the Arrowhead Anytime fitness gym in Glendale, Az.
Here is the last email response i sent the owner of Arrowhead loaction of Anytime fitness where i physcially went in to cancel my membership and she committed to place my account (membership) on hold ( no payments) so I could reconsider my thinking about cancelling. She pressed and i actually liked her but what i got was a bait and switch.
What actually happened was she did nothing and continued to charge my credit card for 5 more months until i realized what happened.
After i challenged her she had complete memory loss and she she would now, after 5 months, cancel my membership.
here's my final email response.
"I guess we will have to disagree but I actually thought you would not remember it so differently (normally I get it wrote down but felt differently about you; guess I was very wrong). I paid over $600 for something I didn't want or use; I literally told you to cancel my membership and you convinced me not to cancel and look what happened; the exact opposite of what I wanted.
You probably also forgot you told me about the 30 day notification during our in person meeting where you said I would have to pay it for the remaining time which I already agreed to. The ironic thing is I physically came in because I know how difficult it is to cancel these memberships once they start and I still got the run around.
I hope you can sleep at night knowing you took advantage of your customer. And yes, you actually did take advantage as you hide behind recall, or rather lack of recall."
Reason of review: bait and switch regarding cancelling my membership.
Monetary Loss: $625.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Anytime Fitness Cons: Verbal promises not kept, Poor customer service.
Location: Glendale, Arizona
